DRUG TESTING QUESTIONS

Drug Testing FAQs

What Drugs Can Be Tested For?

Our drug tests can screen for up to 14 different drugs. You may select any kit from a marijuana only screen to a 14 panel kit (the CR3) that tests for the widest range of drugs including Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates, Amphetamine, Methamphetamine, Phencyclidine, Oxycodone, Benzodiazepines, Ecstasy, and more. We have drug testing kits for any situation. Both urine and saliva.

How Effective Are The Drug Tests?

Our drug tests are qualitative — they determine when drugs exist at similar limits to the SAMHSA cut off. This allows our drug tests to be among the most inexpensive and effective options for pre-employment, random drug tests, jail drug tests, halfway house drug tests, physician office drug tests, schools drug tests, courts/correctional drug testing, post-accident drug testing, and home drug tests. Our drug tests satisfy the requirements of virtually all Drug Screening Programs today.

What Is The Shelf Life Of The Drug Tests?

From the date that they are made, our tests have a test life of one and a half years. Each lot of drug testing devices has a clearly stamped expiration date on the foil pouch in which it is encased.

ALCOHOL TEST QUESTIONS

How Do Alco-Screen and Alco-Screen 2 Differ?Alcohol Testing Products

Both are saliva tests, with Alco-Screen providing a semi quantitative result for blood alcohol concentration and Alco-Screen 2 providing a positive identification of alcohol in saliva in any concentration of 0.02 percent or more. The Alco-Screen takes two minutes and the Alco-Screen 2 takes four minutes for results.

PREGNANCY AND OVULATION TESTING QUESTIONS

How Early Can I Take The Test?

Tests that have the sensitivity levels that our tests possess have been used to determine pregnancy as early as 7 days post ovulation. However, it is important to note that implantation has to happen prior to hCG release, which is what prompts a positive test result. The typical time for implantation is 6 to 12 days post ovulation, with an average of 9 to 12 days as the time of implantation. Therefore, false negatives can happen prior to implantation. We recommend that you wait until 9 to 12 days after ovulation to ensure that implantation has occurred.

Is It Necessary To Use First Morning Urine For The Tests?

If your test is performed prior to a missed period, you will get the most effective results with first morning urine. Since this urine is most concentrated it is easiest to identify hCG in this type of specimen. If you do choose to take your test later, we recommend holding urine for around 3 or 4 hours to get more concentrated levels and therefore more accurate results.

PLASMA GLUCOSE TESTING QUESTIONS

What Does The Plasma Glucose Test Do?

The plasma glucose test is also called the blood sugar test. This quick test can identify abnormal plasma glucose, which can be helpful for diabetics or those with other medical issues.

What Are Normal/Abnormal Plasma Glucose Levels?

Normal level plasma glucose falls in the 60 to 100 mg/dl range. An abnormally low level is 50 mg/dL (2.8 mmol/l) or lower. An abnormally high level is 125 mg/dL (6.9 mmol/l) or more.

URINALYSIS QUESTIONS

How Can I Determine A Normal/Abnormal Urinalysis Test Result?

A urinalysis result will normally be any color from near-clear to a dark yellowish hue. Consumption of certain foods or medications may discolor urine. Normal specific gravity ranges for urine are 1.006 to 1.030. Higher numbers indicate more concentrated urine. The pH level of urine ranges from 4.6 up to 8.0 with 6.0 being the average pH. An abnormal urinalysis will have specific gravity outside the ranges of 1.006 to 1.030.
